The Italian Cultural Foundation of South Jersey is a not-for-profit organization that was formed in 2008 to conduct charitable and educational activities within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code specifically, to provide education regarding the history and culture of Italy and the role of Italian-Americans in the development of the United States. The Foundation hosts fundraising cultural events to fund our scholarship endowment and local community charities.
We Italian-Americans are proud of our heritage. We no longer need to anglicize our names or be as inconspicuous as our forefathers needed to be at the beginning of the last century; however, our job is not yet done. It is our responsibility to teach and share our great culture and achievements. We need to pass our experiences and our beautiful culture to future generations. If we do not do it, then who will pass on the benefits of our heritage to our grandchildren?
The mission of the Italian Cultural Foundation is to hand down our heritage to our future generations.
We no longer have a "membership", however, we do need your support and generosity. We are very enthusiastic about the Foundation and we hope we are able to convey our passion for the Foundation and its goals to each one of you, and to our Italian-American community. We would also encourage you to volunteer your services if you have a background in Italian music, art, literature, and/or simply support and attend our two major events; Designer Bag Bingo and Spirit of Achievement Gala Ball.
Please let us know if you are interested in our volunteering opportunities and of course, watch our website and social media for event details.
